1 - DROP-OUT BY NUMBERS"
a-Read the following text : http://www.aypf.org/publications/WhateverItTakes/WIT_nineseconds.pdf
b-Using Cornell notes, First identify and write the main ideas of the text, second give detail for each main ideas
c-write 2 facts or numbers from the text that surprised you ( we will discuss them in class tomorrow)

2- RESEARCH : Using "Google" and your research skills , find 2 stories about students who dropped out of high school. Take enough notes to be able to tell their stories tomorrow.
Focus on 1) the reasons they dropped out
2) what they did once they quit school
3) their advice to you, if any.

3- SELF- REFLECTION ON DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL?
In one paragraph, tell what you think about dropping out of school. Do you think it is a good idea (why?) or a bad idea ( why?) or do you think it depends on each person concerned.

4- If you are finished before the end of class, you may catch up with your homework( some of you have a lot to catch up), study for Ms. pearl test or play the coolmarth.org games
5- HAND IN YOUR WORK TO THE SUBSTITUTE.
